We are just one win away form ending the drought of major league sports championships in Philadelphia.  Tonight we have ‘Ace in the Cole’ Hamels taking the mound.  Cole has been perfect through out the playoffs  Just one more game and tomorrow,  the phillies could be making World Series parade plans.

Congratulations to our Philadelphia Phillies for winning the 2008 National League Championship.  The are headed to the World Series and will face either the Red Sox or the Tampa Bay Rays.  The Rays have a 3 games to 1 lead over the Sox, so it looks like the Phillies will be meeting the Rays in the World Series.   This is one the for time I will have seen the Phillies in the World Series.  I can remember when the won it n 1980.  Wow!!
