		<description>The team has no clear direction right now. They have a ballpark designed for speed and pitching, but continue to miss on pitching and guys like Bay don&#039;t fit in to the speed part. The only way they stay in the race is if guys like Pelfrey, Perez and Maine have career years. I think that is asking too much.</description>

		<description>Its amazing to me just how far this team has fallen.  When they dealt for Santana in 2008 everyone picked the Mets to win, and even last year after they picked up K-Rod there were some so-called experts who thought the Mets would overtake the Phillies.  I do wonder what would&#039;ve happened if the Mets had held on in 2007.</description>
